We got a few days of very nice weather at Seaside this year and it was great to take the girls to the ocean. Raygen was totally in love with the water. She is just like Zoie. Raygen could not get enough and was laughing and smiling the whole time.
This is the first time she has ever been in the ocean. The first time we took her to the beach it was way too cold. Raygen loved the sand as well. We had to be very careful not to let Raygen play in the sand or get wet above her shorts. If any of the water or sand got in her g-tube it could make her very sick or lead to an infection surrounding her tube. Randy read about a few toxins they were finding in the ocean so we made sure to just get her a little wet even though I am sure she would have loved to get completely wet.
I am so proud of this girl. I guess I say that every post but if you only knew what she had to go through, what she has left to go through. These moments are even that more special. Looking back at how far she has come from that little sick baby that we never left the house with to today, it's just amazing. I wasn't sure we would ever get to experience these wonderful moments with Raygen and each time we get to I thank God with all my heart.
