Roar N' Fun

Join me on "Team Raygen" and support Mended Little Hearts with a virtual run.  If you don't like running or even walking in a group or have to meet a certain time, then this run is for you.  It's great.  It's in February, but if you register by December 15th you can purchase a cute t-shirt :0)

Here is the information I received from MLH:

Dear Mended Little Hearts Members, Mended Hearts Members, Family and Friends
Register now to participate in a fun event and raise awareness about Congenital Heart Defects.  Join us for our first annual virtual event for the whole family during Congenital Heart Defect Awareness Week--February 7-14. You can do this event anywhere and any how--and you have a whole week to get it done.  You can create a team and have family and friends join you as well.

Here are some quick links to help you:

Congenital heart defects (CHD) are the
most common birth defects in the U.S., affecting about 40,000 babies each year, but most people do not know this. Participation in this event raises awareness about congenital heart defects--tell everyone what you are doing and why. Wear CHD t-shirts and sweat shirts while you participate. Share to social media venues. We will also give you CHD facts to share as well.
  • It is good for your heart.  February is Heart Month.  What better thing to do than to exercise and create awareness at the same time?
  • It helps Mended Little Hearts reach even more families with education and support.  Mended Little Hearts reached over 10,000 families last year--help us reach even more of the over 1 million children living with CHD.
  • You get a really cool medal by race time if you register by December 31.

Start with any distance, anytime and anywhere over the course of one week, CHD Awareness Week, February 7-14, until you reach 13.1 miles.  You can walk, jog or run every day, every other day, or all in one day!  You can do it outside, on a treadmill, at your gym, on an indoor track, in your neighborhood or any other location you choose.  You can use apps to track your mileage, post it to our Facebook page, and help motivate others to join in too!

Kids 5 and over (including big kids who are not into a 13.1) can do the one-mile Roar 'N Fun RunIt can be done the same way as the Roar 'N Run 13.1(anywhere and any way you want over the course of CHD Awareness Week, February 7-14).

Please help us spread awareness and help a wonderful charity close to my heart.  Please also feel free to contact me and I can help you register or help you create a team.
